The size a pear tree will reach at maturity is determined by the relative vigor of the variety and the rootstock. Our pear trees are grafted onto the following rootstocks:

Semi-Standard Rootstock 90% of Seedling Standard size, but more precocious and productive than seedling stocks. Recommended In Row Spacing:  Asian Pears 16 to 18′, European Pears  20 to 25′

OHxF 87

Semi-dwarfing rootstock 75% of Seedling Standard Size.  Recommended In Row Spacing:  Asian Pears 14 to 16′, European Pears  18 to 20′

OHxF 333

Semi-dwarfing rootstock 60% of Seedling Standard Size.  Recommended In Row Spacing:  Asian Pears 12 to 14′, European Pears  16 to 18′
