Developed by the Canadian Department Agricultural Research Station in 1956. It’s parentage is ‘Spartan’ x Prog. 565 (Fanny x Jefferies) x 27-435 (Wealthy x R1274o-7A). Resistance to scab of tree and fruit is inherited from the multigenic resistant Russian seedling 12740-7A. Sweet, slightly tart mild flavor.
